Since yesterday was Easter, I decided to take a break from the internet. So, I'm posting two days worth of Pinterest today.
Day 5: On Sunday morning I made some Bacon Ranch Deviled Eggs using some of our decorated Easter eggs. I didn't have the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix like the recipe called for, so I just used some ranch dressing. I added whipped Philadelphia Cream Cheese (the whipped stuff is so good) and a little bacon and blended it all together. It was actually pretty good and my husband liked them as well. The boys won't eat deviled eggs, because they are weird like that.
Later Sunday evening I attempted to make the Coconut oil and vitamin E lotion. I added a little Ylang Ylang and Vanilla essential oils to the mix as well. This stuff smells so good! The lotion is great for legs. I tested it on all three of my guys and myself. It is pretty greasy on the hands, but once you wash your hands it leaves them feeling soft. Good stuff, but definitely needs to be used in moderation. I'm going to try to make this as a bug repellant lotion this summer. We'll have to see how that works.
Day 6: Today was a rough day. I haven't been feeling well for a few days, so I decided to take a toxin eliminating bath I found on Pinterest. It calls for a handful of Epsom salts, 1/2 cup of baking soda, and some lavender essential oil. It smelled really good, but I don't know how many toxins I left behind in the tub. I am a shower person by nature, so it was relaxing to take a bath.
After my bath, I made some Butterfinger Oatmeal cookies. These were super easy and tasted great. I added a handful of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, because I love chocolate. Sue me! I think this addition made them taste even better. However, next time I'm going to add Reese's Cups instead of the Butterfingers. I think they would be even better.
As always, head over to Pinterest and follow along as I Pin my way through 100 days of Pinterest. So far, it's been a fun challenge. I hope you can find some things to try on your own!
Follow me on Pinterest!
Take care!
