Product Review: Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Window Spray

I'm a cleaning nut. I love a clean house and I know at times that it's an irrational expectation, especially since I have two sons.

Since I've been eliminating toxic concoctions in my home, I have been on the lookout for products that are safer. That's when I came across. Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day products. I read the ingredients and was hooked the moment I saw that they are not tested on animals, are essential oil based, and contain no phosphates.

I decided to start off with the window spray, because I have been looking for something that did not contain ammonia, but still did a great job cleaning my windows. Now, I have a dog who loves his little window by the front door. He leaves me daily reminders that his face has been there, drooling on the glass and leaving filmy dog slobber marks for all to see. It's his way of letting people know he's been there. I needed something that I could use on the window that wouldn't irritate his sniffer, but still cleaned it nicely.

I tried Mrs. Meyer's Window Spray in Geranium scent, hoping that I had just found the product that would replace my other window cleaner. I put it to the test on the dog window first to see how well it does. A few squirts later, there was no sign my dog had been there. This stuff works great . . . and it smells amazing too. It cleans so well, that I have decided to try their other products. I already make my own laundry soap and disinfectant, so my next test will be their Kitchen Basics Set which has a hand soap, dish soap, and countertop spray. Since I am in my kitchen multiple times a day, it only makes sense to try that next.

If you are looking to detox your home, but don't want to hassle with making your own cleaning products, Mrs. Meyer's product line seems like a winner. It's safe, non-toxic, and is family owned. Plus, it was tested on my animal . . . somewhat. My dog enjoyed the geranium smell so much he couldn't wait to leave his dog drool on the clean window again. Have you tried any of the Mrs. Meyer's product line? Let me know what product you like best.

Stay tuned for the Kitchen Basics Set review. If it works as well as I think it will I may just end up doing a giveaway so you can have your own Mrs. Meyer's products too!

I wasn't paid to post this. I just love trying healthy alternatives to cleaning.

As always...

take care!!
