7 Lovely Facts About Woman in the Man Cave

I have been nominated for One Lovely Blog Award by Bill Cunningham. He's a writer with an
amazing gift. He's currently working on his first novel and has helped share my blog posts on
Twitter. Though we've never met, I can tell he's a great guy with a large amount of talent.

You can visit Bill (W.C. Cunningham) HERE

Being a blogger, a newspaper columnist, and (someday) a novelist, I tend to get lost in the words. I am so focused on what needs to happen next. What I have to write about. How to grow my blog. What will appeal to newspaper readers. What won't. Feelings of self-doubt. And, constantly wondering if I am wasting my time.

I dont' think I am.

Being nominated for this blog award, simple as it may be, is like receiving a pat on the back from a fellow writer. Like being told, "hey, you're doing a good job. Keep it up."  It's an acknowledgement in a world that's too busy to give a damn most days. It is just a nice gesture from one writer/blogger to another.

That being said, let's get on to details of the award. The rules of this blog hop type of award are that I share 7 facts about myself, and links to 15 blogs that I enjoy reading. If I have nominated your blog, please don't feel any obligation to join in. If you do, please link back to the blog of the person who nominated you, share seven facts about you that we do not know, and nominate 15 blogs you like. If you don't have 15, nominate as many as you can. Got it? Okay. On with the show!

One Loveley Blog Award and Woman in the Man Cave

Here are 7 Lovely Facts about me:
1.  I have always been a bit of a math and science nerd. When I was in seventh grade I competed in Science Olympiad. I came in second in the state in geology and third in astronomy.
2. When I was in high school I was bound and determined to marry Adam Sandler. I love comedy and, to me, he is the funniest man alive. Good lookin' too.
3. My favorite book ever is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
4. I never wanted to be a mom. I now have two sons I would move mountains for. They have helped me to realize that sometimes what you don't want, is exactly what you need. They are the best thing that ever happened in my life.
5.  I LOVE Batman. As a tween, I would sit and watch Adam West and Burt Ward take on villians. Those Zap! Pow! and Crash! moments have forever been a part of my life. I have watched every single Batman show or movie ever made and I have passed that love of the Dark Knight on to my sons. I was an official Mid-Ohio Comic Con photographer and my sole purpose for volunteering at the event was so I could meet Adam West. I didn't get to talk to him, but I did touch him (hehehe) and the Batmobile. I got in trouble for touching the Batmobile...so I touched it again. Take that! Oh, I even have a Batman tattoo.
6. I've been writing a novel for six years. Bit by bit.
7. Eleanor Roosevelt is my hero. I think she was, by far, the most extraordinary woman that ever lived.
Okay. Now you know a few more things about me. I'm sure you've now realized I am one of the sixteen nerdiest people in the world. That's okay though, because nerds rule!
Here are the fifteen blogs I have nominated:
As always, thanks for reading.
Take care,
NB
